This is a series of articles by contributor and color expert Diantha Harris that will guide you in discovering how to use colors to support your life and wellbeing. The series begin with two introductory articles, then continue by following the colors of the chakras, starting with the root, which is red, and culminating with the crown, which is purple/violet.

I suggest you beging with the introductory articles, but by all means, do start from wherever you are inspired. Finally there are two posts by me, one offering you a simple way to receive color therapy via free downloadable wallpapers for your computer, and one about Diantha’s wonderful book: Simply Color for Everyday Living.

I have just found out that, on July 26-27 San Francisco is hosting another wonderful Orchid event featuring glorious artistic displays, workshops and plant sales.

Lately I have been missing the Redwoods a lot, especially now that it’s starting to get hotter.
In my part of California, they only appear here and there, maybe one or two at a time in the landscaping of a garden, but there are no forests. For those, the Redwoods need the cool mist of the coastal fog.

Which is why, when it came time to create the new Calendar Wallpaper for June, I thought of Redwoods. I hope their peaceful strength and wise energy will radiate through the images all the way to you.
