Calendar Wallpaper
Lately I have been missing the Redwoods a lot. In my part of California they only appear here and there, maybe one or two at a time in the landscaping of a garden, but there are no Redwood forests. For those, the Redwoods need the cool mists of the coastal fog.

Which is why, when it came time to create the new Calendar Wallpaper for June, I thought of the Redwoods. Those featured in this image are from the North Sonoma Mountain Regional Park, and I photographed them during a Shinrin-Yoku (Forest Bathing) walk a few years ago.

Happy 30th Birthday to my nephew Massimo, aka Max!!
Sorry I am not there to celebrate on the day, but such a big birthday wants more celebrations so we can do it again when I get there.
Also, as I prepared these images to be shared, I realized that: not only is it time for new photos, but that it is loooong time for new photos of his sister, my niece Greta.
So be ready, both of you, as I am putting this in my schedule for when I return.

I have just found out that, on July 26-27 San Francisco is hosting another wonderful Orchid event featuring glorious artistic displays, workshops and plant sales.
