The Gravenstein Apple Fair is the first event I attended during my very first visit to California. I was 18 at the time and an exchange student, staying with a family in Marin County who became some of my very best lifelong friends.

Well, if you are in the area, the fair is coming up again in a few days, and will take place on the weekend of August 9th & 10th at Ragle Ranch in Sebastopol, Sonoma County, California.
Lots of apples, also in pies, lots of fun arts and crafts vendors, good food, music, and - the longest line of all is for the apple fritters!!

Oops, I just realized that yesterday was World Chocolate Day! 🤎

Do you know that Hawai’i is (possibly) the only place in the world where cacao can both be grown and turned into chocolate?
