I have just found out that, on July 26-27 San Francisco is hosting another wonderful Orchid event featuring glorious artistic displays, workshops and plant sales.

Orchids in the Park will take place at the SF County Fair Building, at 1199 9th Ave, SF and is organized by the San Francisco Orchid Society. You will find links to purchase tickets at the top and bottom of my post.

Lately I have been missing the Redwoods a lot, especially now that it’s starting to get hotter.
In my part of California, they only appear here and there, maybe one or two at a time in the landscaping of a garden, but there are no forests. For those, the Redwoods need the cool mist of the coastal fog.
Which is why, when it came time to create the new Calendar Wallpaper for June, I thought of Redwoods. I hope their peaceful strength and wise energy will radiate through the images all the way to you.
