Lately I have been missing the Redwoods a lot, especially now that it’s starting to get hotter.
In my part of California, they only appear here and there, maybe one or two at a time in the landscaping of a garden, but there are no forests. For those, the Redwoods need the cool mist of the coastal fog.
Which is why, when it came time to create the new Calendar Wallpaper for June, I thought of Redwoods. I hope their peaceful strength and wise energy will radiate through the images all the way to you.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mothers and to all those who have been mothering in some way.
Here is mine. She no longer looks quite like this, though this is how I think of her and I am sure this is how she thinks of herself.
The main thing is that she is still with us, despite all the challenges. I get to talk to her every day and will be spending more time with her in a few weeks. That is a blessing I don’t take lightly.
