Instagramer Akshiloh’s real name is Dan, but I call him the Bear Whisperer, for the obvious reasons you can see above and below. He could not have been that far from these fishing bears when he took the photographs. Akshiloh could also be the Squirrel Whisperer, or Eagle Whisperer, or Moose Whisperer…. maybe I should just call him the Wildlife Whisperer.
I have been following him on Instagram since the very beginning and can’t get enough of his photos. My favorites are those involving his close relationship with wild animals, especially those cute little bears that hang around his deck and love his bird bath.
Are they cute or what? Dan even has names for them: Misha I know is one, and she’s the baby of a Maja, who got separated from her cubs for a couple of weeks, which is why they hung around at Dan’s house. He has known Maja from a cub, too, and watched her grow up and have babies of her own.
As you can see above, bears are not the only creatures Dan entertains on his deck. Well, the stunning Bald Eagle was not quite outside his house. At least not in this image.

Alaska is one of the many places on my long bucket list, towards the top, too. While I wait to travel and explore there, I get to enjoy its views through Akshiloh’s talent. Needless to say, Akshiloh is one of the most popular Instagramers. There, I said it all the same.
