Meet Rusty Bucket, the cutest Silky Terrier in Hawai’i and sweetie pie extraordinaire. Rusty loves the ocean and loves to swim, so he was very happy when he moved to O’ahu with his Hu-mom and Hu-dad.
When his Hu-parents hold him above the water, he starts swimming in the air. It is good practice for when he then goes in the water. Don’t tell him, but it is really funny, too! *wink-wink*
Then it is time to make a splash and nothing holds him back.
Rusty is very loved and very spoiled, just like every dog should be. He lives in Waikiki and enjoys his life as a beach boy. Besides the beach, he enjoys going for car rides and catching balls at the park. And shhhh…. he also loves ice cream!
I photographed Rusty at a little beach off of Diamond Head in Honolulu on a stunning February morning. As I recall, in my wild driving around the island photographing dogs over two days, I had just returned to Waikiki after photographing another beach boy pup up at Makaha Beach: Snow the Water Boy.
