Wiggles and woofs everybody! I thought it was time for a little cuteness overload this weekend, so I am sharing a few more of my photos in the Tales of Tails series. You have already met quite a few fabulous Hawai’i Tails, including my piglets, and here are three more.
These three cuties are siblings of different parentage, and are all rescue dogs.
Â

Â
Above is Little Lola Red Riding Hood, a sweet little Chihuahua girl, who just posed kindly wherever I placed her.
In the two images below is Daizy the Witch of the Forest. Sweet Daizy is a Pug-Japanese Chin mix who was rescued from a dumpster – can you believe! – but now has a very happy life. She was even the cover girl for the Fall 2014 issue of Island Dog Magazine, though not photographed by moi. Like a true little witch, Daizy beats to her own drum.

Â
And here is Gizzy Indiana Jones of the irresistible head tilt. These are all little nicknames I gave these furry kids. Dizzy, a Papillon-Japanese Chin mix, picked up his toy and went exploring, hence the Indiana Jones title. He took his toy everywhere, and never forgot it.
Â

Â
I photographed these cutie pies during a two-day-all-over-Oahu-photo-thon as candidates for a Paws in Paradise calendar. Little Lola, Daizy and Gizzy did not get selected, but I thought they should still get their own feature at least here in the blog. Lola and Daizy are wearing costumes because of a special request. Gizzy said he is not a costume kind of boy.
Â
The photo location for Lola, Daizy and Gizzy is Nu’uanu Valley Park, off the Pali Road on the way from Honolulu to Kailua, just behind Queen Emma Summer Palace.
A little tidbit: in Hawai’i, mixed-breed dogs are called Poi Dogs.
Â
I hope you have enjoyed meeting these little fluffernuts. Do you have furry kids of your own? I would looooove to hear about them in the comments!
