I honestly did not feel I could really share about Mother’s Day before, given that my Mum floated out of her body exactly on that day (in Italy), but I could not let May go by without sharing this nod to motherhood.
These are a selection of images from the maternity shoots I did around O’ahu a few years ago.
These beautiful mothers are Lara, Marsee, Jackie and Adrieanne.
Locations:
- a private Lohi (taro plantation) in Hale’iwa, North Shore of O’ahu (I hope it survived the recent deluge)
- Nu’uanu Valley Park, in Honolulu (behind Queen Emma Summer Palace)
- Pua’ena Point Beach Park, to the right of Hale’iwa Beach, North Shore of O’ahu
- Portlock Beach, a tiny little beach in the Hawai’i Kai area of Honolulu

After several delays (for reasons most of you already know), I am finally excited to announce my Curated Recipes project!
These are recipes which I have developed and perfected over the years: mostly new ones (to you), some revamped from my restaurant years, and a few already published on my website and also revamped.
I am offering them as separate recipes (available in both English and Italian) so you can purchase just the ones you want. They come in downloadable PDF format so you will be able to save them on your devices and have them with you wherever you go.
To keep things simple, I have set up shop on a secure external platform called Buy Me A Coffee. Purchasing is easy and affordable, as prices start at $3.50 (USD).
I currently have 4 recipes already available for purchase with more to come by and by.

Since I live nearby, there is no reason to try to learn to make any of these. These are the best and a close second to wine to visit Napa Valley. Just amazing. Bouchon is simply a treasure.
Oh yes, Bouchon is really a treasure. I wish I still lived near there. As for baking them: I’ve never made either, though madeleines have been on my radar for some time.
