It seems that California is enjoying an early spring, with sunny days, daytime temperatures in the low 70sF, and acacias (mimosas) in bloom all over. After weeks of triple layers, double scarves, coats and hats, it feels really nice, even if a bit surreal. So surreal in fact that, on Monday, I plan to wash and put away the puppys’ parkas in an attempt to make it rain. We have not had nearly enough rain so far, and we certainly need more.
My friends in Europe and on the East Coast, however, still talk about snow and glacial temperatures, and just a few days ago, Punxsutawney Phil, aka the Groundhog talked about six more weeks of winter, at least in Pennsylvania.
Since I have not created a new wallpaper in a while, I thought I would do that and bring some nature colors into your day, even if just on your computer screen, and iPad (or tablet) and iPhone (or smartphone). I also figured I might make it a calendar, just so those days are right there for a quick glance.
I am starting with February because, well, inspiration struck today, and it would not make much sense to start with January, at least not until we can figure that time travel thing out.
Above and below you can see what they will look like on the various devices. At the bottom of the post you will find the links where to download the February wallpaper for each device. I will also add them to the free wallpaper page, where you will be able to find many others as well. The extra sweetness with this new one is that I have designed it with retina displays in mind, so higher pixel density. I hope you will enjoy this one and all the months to come. I will not be doing a new blog post for each new one, but I will announce them by and by on social media, so follow me on one of my accounts (see bottom of the page).

Thank you for the beautiful images! It’s nice to hear that spring has arrived early 😀
You are very welcome, Lorraine! ????
